What the extension does
Spanish Keyboard shows a small on-screen panel on the web page you choose, so you can type Spanish letters and punctuation (á é í ó ú ñ ü ¿ ¡). When you click a character on the panel, or use one of its keyboard shortcuts, the extension inserts that character into the text field you have focused.
Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect personal information, browsing history, page content, form data, keystrokes, cookies or device identifiers. It does not read what you have typed and does not read the text of the page. While the panel is open it listens for its own keyboard shortcuts only to recognize them; keystrokes are not recorded, stored or transmitted.
Network access, storage and remote code
- The extension makes no network requests and works fully offline.
- It does not use cookies, local storage or any other storage. Nothing is saved between uses.
- It does not load or run remote code. All code ships inside the extension package.
Welcome page and this website
Right after installation the extension opens a welcome page on this website once (/welcome), so you can see where to find the extension and try it. The address only says whether the extension icon is pinned to your toolbar. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without collecting personal information. The extension itself sends nothing.
Permissions and why they are needed
activeTab: lets the extension work on the tab you are looking at, only at the moment you click the toolbar icon or press its shortcut. It gives no access to your other tabs and no access to sites in the background.scripting: used together withactiveTabto place the keyboard panel on that one tab when you ask for it.
The extension requests no host permissions, so it cannot read or change your websites on its own.
Clipboard
If a website does not allow an extension to type into a field, the extension copies the single character you clicked to your clipboard so you can paste it with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac). This only writes that one character. The extension never reads your clipboard.
Sharing and third parties
Because nothing is collected, nothing is shared with, sold to, or transferred to third parties. Google Docs, Gmail and other websites you use the extension on are separate services with their own privacy policies; the extension does not send them anything other than the characters you insert by clicking, exactly as if you had typed them.
Children
The extension collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the extension ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated before the change is released, and the effective date above will change.
